The founding cohort is intentionally small. The aim is a group broad enough to produce genuinely varied discussion, but not so broad that threads lose their professional focus before the moderation and category structure are settled.
We are currently weighting invitations towards practising mortgage and protection advisers, paraplanners and compliance professionals, with a smaller number of lender, network and provider participants who post in a professional rather than promotional capacity.
That balance is a judgement, and we would rather test it than assume it:
- Which professional groups would most improve the quality of discussion here?
- Should provider and lender staff be able to post freely, or only in clearly marked contexts?
- What size of community feels right before opening registration more widely?
Please answer from experience of other professional communities rather than in the abstract.
