There is no shortage of marketing about AI in financial services. The more useful question is where it is actually saving advisers time in their week, and where it is only shifting effort around.
A few prompts:
- Which AI-assisted tasks have genuinely saved you time — meeting notes, drafting, research, review?
- Where has AI created hidden new work, such as checking or reformatting output?
- Which use cases have you tried and abandoned, and why?
Practical experience is more useful than product recommendations. Please avoid naming clients.
As always, this is an editorial discussion starter written by Adviser Forum rather than a member opinion. Nothing here is regulated advice, no view expressed should be treated as a settled industry position, and any example you contribute should be anonymised so that no client, colleague or firm can be identified from it.
